Before you choose a provider
Look at the official eligibility checks first. Ask a prospective trainer about their qualifications, experience and availability. Request a clear breakdown of tuition, study materials and any costs that are charged separately.
Part 1: knowledge
Preparation involves theory and hazard awareness. Plan time to understand the material and connect it to real driving situations. A practice score is useful feedback, not a substitute for understanding.
Part 2: driving
Consider where your own driving needs refinement. Use feedback to build a practice plan and discuss how readiness will be assessed before an appointment is booked.
Part 3: teaching
Teaching someone else calls for more than being able to drive well yourself. Ask about lesson planning, observing a learner, giving useful feedback and adapting a session when the learner needs something different.
