Understand the explanation
When you get an answer wrong, pause before trying another test. Explain the correct answer in your own words and think of a road situation where the rule would matter.
Signs and road language
Group similar signs together when revising. Notice the difference between something that warns you, something that gives an instruction and something that helps you find your way.
Spot what could change
Hazard practice is about seeing a situation develop. Think about a pedestrian approaching the kerb, a vehicle preparing to emerge or a view becoming restricted. Use approved practice material to learn how the exercise works.
Practise without cramming
A short session where you review mistakes can be more productive than repeating familiar questions for an hour. Rotate topics so the difficult parts get attention too.
Try this: after revising one topic, write down three things you would do differently on the road because of what you learned.
